it’s been a long time since i felt this challenged to raise the bar for myself. really looking forward to how wednesday turns out!

besides, az and shelley are performing! they’re very warm people and great musicians, so even if i do disappoint, they definitely won’t! hehe.. please drop by if you can if you’re in town, will be nice to catch up with you. =)

  • it’s finally over! i’m still healthy and i only took 1 panadol to sustain me through this hectic 2 weeks haha! lots of sleep debt to recover though. last year i oded and suffered for the week after..

thank you, to all of you who made this christmas the way it is, for your inspiring dedication and passion =) it’s truly a great blessing and privilege to serve alongside you guys in his work. thank you god for sustaining us all through this hectic week, for the old friendships deepened, new friendships made, and the ever vivid reminder of your amazing work on the cross.

will probably write a more thoughtful post in the morning.. but in the meantime, blessed christmas everyone! may you have a meaningful christmas this year!

  • a friend once shared with me about how he decided never to let another girl complete him again. i shrugged off that thought quickly because i knew that a love this beautiful has to come with a risk just as great, that she could potentially hurt you beyond repair.

i knew in my head and heart that if it comes, it will still be worth it.

but i’m beginning to understand why my friend said what he did. i guess it’s moments like this that puts us to the test. it’s scary to not only realize, but experience that you’re the only one that keeps me going. and without you, everything falls apart.

it’s even scarier to realize that this won’t be the last time. and there’s no way to prepare myself for it. does it make sense to put myself at the mercy of total abandonment, rejection and betrayal, to love at its fullest?

  • been back for just a week! watching god’s grace working in our hearts and minds has been truly refreshing. it’s comforting realizing that god doesn’t depend on our talents or wisdom to sustain his ministry, that he doesn’t demand of us to slave to reach a certain quality of performance. it’s humbling to realize that it’s not about that at all.

there’s just no better time in the year to remember this greatest love story ever told, about a love that counted no sacrifice too great, a love that demanded his soul, his life, his all.

and every christmas, we’re reminded that this love demands the same of us as well. this is what we’re really called to, musicians or whatever. to live a life worthy of his calling.

    =)

blessed christmas everyone! may his peace dwell upon the hearts of those who know and love him

  • decided to spend it alone in quiet reflection, and watched the sunset at st kilda beach, where it all started. =) absolutely gorgeous, how one myriad of seemingly endless array of colors gives way to another.

i think it’s profound how life is defined only by moments, not by days, months or years - a significant moment that we reflect, remember and relive over and over again for the rest of our lives..

thank you kathryn lee for sharing that moment with me. i love you.
