    Your EQ is 147
50 or less: Thanks for answering honestly. Now get yourself a shrink, quick!
51-70: When it comes to understanding human emotions, you’d have better luck understanding Chinese.
71-90: You’ve got more emotional intelligence than the average frat boy. Barely.
91-110: You’re average. It’s easy to predict how you’ll react to things. But anyone could have guessed that.
111-130: You usually have it going on emotionally, but roadblocks tend to land you on your butt.
131-150: You are remarkable when it comes to relating with others. Only the biggest losers get under your skin.
    150+: Two possibilities – you’ve either out “Dr. Phil-ed” Dr. Phil… or you’re a dirty liar.

hwa, real or not wan; ray you must be the biggest loser man, haha!

  • was looking for videos of seiji ozawa, came across these..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJp8cRLmqb0 with itzhak perlman and yoyoma
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7YQIlvffh0 with the sesame street all-animal orchestra, featuring placido flamenco

    hahaha =) great sport

bad luck for manu.. wasn’t a great match to watch. though rooney played like a tank after 50 games for the season! finally showing some flair, but drogba’s goal was fantastic =s great season none the less =)

  • conducted my first choir today! just a short satb acapella piece for 6 ppl, for grace before newman forum dinner.. nonetheless, will forever be etched in mymemory. =) ironic to think that after 21 long years, i justonly stumbled upon what could be my life’s work.

wonder where this takes me now.

forum dinner was an eye opening one, very bleak picture of the human condition =s i think it might be true after all what they say, that institutionalized religion so potentially dilutes the impact of jesus’ work on the cross. might elaborate later..

but pride is such an enormous stumbling block, for christians and non-christians alike. unfortunately sometimes, the only difference is that the former would be labelled as hypocrites, and the latter as influential.

btw, came across summer in the website,

    http://www.acousticcentre.com.au/Text/1137650533076-7316/ (the brazilian)

feels like i came across a happy photograph of a departed loved one, a torturing bittersweet moment. who knew anyone could be so attached to some wood and steel.

    in loving memory.

    sigh. :’)

  • what a match! one of the best contested football matches ive seen in a while. a gripping 1-1 draw between chelsea and arsenal, but it’ll be a very different headline tomorrow morning:

MANCHESTER UNITED ARE 2006/2007 PREMIERSHIP CHAMPIONS!

our heartfelt thanks to arsenal football club for confirming our inevitable victory with a spirited performance, even with nothing to lose. chelsea were so unbelievably good with only 10 men, i felt they almost deserved to win.. but of course i’d much rather that we cement our victory now! haha

the 4 year wait has been well worth it! cheers to fellow man united fans everywhere!

melvin our pastor in church showed us a slide on his powerpoint before his sermon last friday.

    AIG
    (almost in greece)

    ooohhh!! the nerveee!! weeerhhhhh!!

  • hawkers dumbo
    hawkers cafe

    zachatyamato katatyamato
us at yamato restaurant, 28 corrs lane. ironic that one of melbourne’s smallest restaurants shares its name with the world’s largest battleship. haha.. the food was really good

    lastsummer
3/5/2004 the day summer reached melb (oh goodness the cap hair! aaah! sigh for sore eyes)

    sarah1
24/4/2007 the day we parted. =) goodbye summer.. thanks for the 3 years of music we made together. hope your next owner takes better care of you than i did.

it’s also 2 years since our night out at st kilda =) happy 2 years baby! here’s to many more precious memories =)

much smaller size than the dreadnaught, much more comfortable to hold and play. helps that i don’t look like a dwarf playing it too.. it’s a new taylor 712ce, traded in guitar for guitar cause they were trying their hardest to get rid of the 2006 models, cause everyone (else) is waiting for the expression system upgrade for the 2007s, but i’m not fussed.

bought at www.acousticcentre.com.au, fantastic place in park street, south melbourne, tram #1 from uni and stop at park street, if you love guitars check it out! lots of top-shelf guitars there to try.

  • it’s just a little time
    our tumors are benign
    don’t leave this heart behind
    love is on our side

HAHAHA i’m clearly out of practice.

but in all seriousness, i’m finally ready to start writing again. =) good luck me

  • there’s this short piano piece that hugh and dave (matthews) played in house 315 “half-wit”. i heard the notes, i understood the elegant contrast and prosody of the music. but for the life of me i couldn’t place what the chords and harmonies were. it was discordant, it was elegant., and i didn’t know what they were. it was so inefffably frustrating.

i hate myself for not understanding it. can someone please tell me those 2 chords are?

  • the corner hotel, richmond – bela fleck and the flecktones. opening by ryan shaw.

    ryanshaw2

    ryanshaw1

opening act for the night, ryan shaw. soulful, expressive vocalist and songwriter, in many ways i prefered their performance over bela.. because of the tightness of the band, rather than individual skill.

    belafleck

    belaflecksetup

bela fleck and his setup, trace elliot acoustic amp, some rack units i can’t identify, an acoustic and electric banjo. i guess it’s typical for banjo players to shred the fretboard as fast as they can, filling as many notes per second as possible. very impressive! but wait, who’s that in the corner?

    wooten

    wootensetup

who would’ve thought that i’d stand face to face with victor wooten? scariest groove on the planet! this is who we came to see! never heard anyone who could make the bass sing like that! simply watching him play and express himself has been a great inspiration. photo shows his ampeg svt 4-pro head + ampeg bxt cabs.

    jeffcoffin

jeff coffin. shocked me out of my wits when he put 2 altos into his mouth and harmonized by playing them both! first time i’ve heard the sax processed by effects units, very interesting.

    futureman

the futureman. i think i’ll reserve my personal opinions about him. i find his playing annoying.

personal notes: thanks ju for the ticket, you really didn’t have to. =) thanks khai for indulging my trigger happiness, and both of you for your excellent company.

  • i have 4MB of upload/download bandwith left for the night. phew! i survived..

which really begs the question, how can people complain about streamyx being lousy? i’m paying 35 AUD for 1GB of transfer! ungrateful!
